The impact is profound – your race choice extends its influence to your General’s Bodyguard, an elite unit safeguarding you in battle. Their combat prowess aligns with the unique attributes of your selected race. Additionally, your starting location within the race’s homeland becomes the epicenter of your adventure.
Crafting Methods and Languages, essential tools for a strategic leader, are bestowed upon your general based on your race choice. Yet, the depth of this decision goes beyond mere skills; it unveils the intricacies of cultural dominance. Opting for a ‘Controlling Race’ grants you a linguistic advantage but limits your starting language, accompanied by a significant Gold Bonus for skill acquisition.

Elves from the Heartland
Nestled within the Heartland, the Eladrina, or High Elves, call the venerable kingdom of Harnise home. Within these time-honored walls, statues of ancestors stand watch, their presence eternally gracing the towns.

Elves from Ethereal
These Forest Elves, known as Sylvans, thrive in the enchanting realm of Ethereal, where the colossal trees of the Rostream Forest stand tall. In this ancient elven colony, rich arcane stone mines unlock the innate magical potential of all living things. Sylvans rule, while their Dwarven slaves work. Ethereal is an undeniable elven domain, with Vrylst, its capital meaning “Heart of the Forest,” standing as a testament to their incredible civilisation.
The Sylvans, rooted in the mystical environment of Ethereal, have honed their skills in both attack and magic. This unique environment and cultural focus contribute to their exceptional prowess in both offensive and magical abilities.
Elves from Mohrath
Drowak, the Shadow Elves, reside in the domain of Mohrath, a region historically dominated by Minotaur kings. Their allegiance to the Minotaur rulers, particularly King Gunrak Stormhoof, solidified when they joined forces during the struggle for independence against the elven masters. In the wake of the breakdown of the elven empire, these elves forged a new kingdom alongside the liberated Minotaurs.
